docWeb is a small independent French company, rooted in practice and in the real world.
We focus on digital technologies — how they work, how they are used, and what they imply. Our aim is to publish clear, useful, verifiable information, without misleading shortcuts or inflated promises.
A broad technology field
Artificial intelligence and digital agents currently play a major role in our publications, but docWeb is not limited to those topics.
We cover, among other things:

Our method
docWeb does not try to comment on technology from a distance.
We prefer to understand, build, test, document and verify. When information is uncertain, it should be presented as such. When a tool has limits, those limits should be explained.
Our approach rests on three principles:
Inform
Provide what is needed to understand a subject before taking action.
Verify
Distinguish a claim, a hypothesis, a tested result and an established fact.
Stay in control
Use technologies without handing them important decisions.
What we stand for
Technology can speed up work, support learning and open new possibilities. It does not replace skill, responsibility or human judgement.
A powerful tool is not automatically a reliable one. A fluent answer is not necessarily correct. A modern solution is not always suited to the problem at hand.
docWeb argues for a clear-eyed, gradual and controlled use of technology.
Who is docWeb for?
docWeb is for curious people, developers, freelancers, small organisations and, more broadly, anyone who wants a better understanding of the technologies they use.
No technical degree is required to start reading our publications. We do, however, encourage everyone to verify, experiment and keep a critical eye.
A small organisation, concrete work
docWeb is deliberately a small structure.
That scale helps us stay close to practice, document real difficulties and avoid presenting technology as a string of magical solutions.
